The Finance Committee ensures RCC's fiscal resources are managed responsibly and in accordance with the
annual budget which is developed by the Committee (in coordination with the ministry leaders) approved by the Elders and presented to the congregation.

The Building and Grounds Committees care for the property, buildings, and physical systems that serve our
church. We work with staff and ministry leaders to support their space-related needs.

The Building Committee plans for Rivanna's long term physical space needs through construction and renovation projects.

The Fellowship and Events Committee exists to provide opportunities for our church members to grow in God's grace and build relationships as we serve those within and outside our church community.  We organize many social events and celebrations, special services and sanctuary decoration.

The Welcoming and Greeter Ministry works to glorify God by extending a warm welcome to every person entering His house. This ministry extends beyond the Sunday Morning service with visitor follow-up. Most importantly, we desire to invite others into a relationship with Jesus and to connect with RCC's community of believers.

Through classroom instruction for all ages, RCC aims to educate, equip, and empower individuals in studying and understanding Christian Faith and applying biblical principles to daily life. This is primarily accomplished for adults and children during the Sunday Morning Sunday School Time and in Children's Church during the sermon time.

At RCC, the term "missions" broadly refers to ministry to people outside our congregation. We are committed to sharing the love of God with the lost, poor and needy both locally and internationally. We seek to partner with ministries that provide opportunities for RCC members to serve and share the love of Christ in face-to-face relationships and we support former church members called to ministry around the world.

Reflecting the New Testament pattern of church life, community at Rivanna happens within our life groups and is the essence of our church. We welcome those whose seek relationship or whose lives are being touched by the Kingdom of God into our groups.  Life groups are established, and leaders are appointed and publicly installed by the elders, in accordance with our bylaws.

The heart of Rivanna Community Church in prayer is to echo the cry of Jesus' early disciples when they
asked, "teach us to pray". Our vision is to build a house of prayer designed intentionally to incorporate RCC's vision to Love God, Love One Another & Love the World.

In keeping with the RCC vision, we love God by being worshippers first and musicians second and pursue excellence while focusing on worship.  We love one another by serving and leading the congregation with humility, and presenting songs that are theologically sound and spiritually rich, displaying the glory of Christ and the truth of the Gospel.
